Your data
stays yours.
PantryWeek stores ordinary meal plans, recipes, pantry items and shopping progress locally on your device. It has no PantryWeek account system, advertising, analytics or cross-app tracking. Apple provides purchase status to unlock features and processes only the recipes, templates or weeks you explicitly share through iCloud Sharing.
Local planning data
Ordinary recipes, plans, meal slots, pantry items, shopping progress, templates and household profiles stay in PantryWeek's local app storage. Core planning does not require a PantryWeek account or cloud connection.
iCloud Sharing
When you explicitly share a recipe, template or week, PantryWeek sends that selected content to your private Apple iCloud container. Apple uses CloudKit to deliver invitations, identify participants, apply read-only or editor permissions and synchronize changes. A shared week includes its meal slots and ingredients. Pantry items, unrelated recipes and other weeks are not included automatically. The owner can remove participants or stop sharing, and a participant can leave. iCloud Sharing requires an Apple Account and is governed by Apple's privacy practices.
